Seeking God, Proclaiming His Word, Building His Church

Prayers You May Use

Blessed Father:  I confess that I am such a worrier!  I become fearful and troubled by things over which I have no control.  Sometimes these are small things in my own life. At times they are events of mammoth proportion that occur on the world scene.  My brain knows that You have given much reassurance and many promises in Your Word. I read in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled …” I read Isaiah 41:10 for Your promise, “Fear not, for I am with you.  Be not dismayed … I will strengthen you and help you …”  I Peter 5:7 actually invites me to cast all of my cares on You – because you care for me! Father, I claim Your love in my heart, so that I will learn to trust and not be afraid.  Amen

Loving God, I need your help and your comfort for someone (name) close to me who is suffering. Please bring skill to the hands of those who are healing and caring for her/him. Give them confidence. Guide their decisions. Bring comfort to me and to the patient.  Provide us with confidence that Your grace and power as the Divine Healer are at work. The Bible says, “With God, all things are possible.” (Luke 18:27, 1:37) Although it is difficult to wait, I place my trust in You and Your Word. Amen

Heavenly Father, for a long time I have not been faithful in praying. Please forgive me. Help me back to being close to You again. Remind me of those days when I learned about Your love and how peaceful my life was. In the past few years, my life has become fast, complicated and distant from You. Someone said, “The thing about Faith is that it’s always there, when you’re ready to return to it.”  Remind me, heavenly Father, about those days of peace and joy. Lord, bring me back to You! I am ready. Amen. (Matthew 18:12) ” If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?”

Oh, Lord of all success, I long for opportunities to exhibit the wisdom, strength and skills You have blessed me with. I humbly seek to go beyond the strife and competitive atmosphere. Give me courage to dare to be divinely different. Heavenly Father, when I am successful, let it be according to Your Word. Let my faith and my honor be held high that I may be a true representative of You in my work on this earth.  Amen  (Philippians 4:19) “My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
